Many investors still can't shake the memory of the stock market crash of 2008.
Opinion:
My number one concern is the fact nothing has changed since the 2008 crash. Wall Street is back to business as usual. Obvious crimes took place that caused the crash yet no one was arrested, convicted or went to jail?
I was ready to retire lost about 45 % of my retirement savings. even though these have recovered I'm still only back to where I was before the crash. So I have also lost 7 years of growth.My next concern is why I'm I forced to invest into a corrupt system of stocks. The Fed has made it so I can't save using traditional and insured savings plans. I remember a time where my bank's savings account would yield 5% a year. Even the stock market can't match that.
